Advocating for your Child at School -
Cementing the School/Home Partnership
Learn how to work collaboratively with teachers and school staff, how to express your concerns, and be more effective with your child's best interests in mind. Obtain advice on keeping records, when to include the principal or other administrators, and how to be known as an effective advocate and not a nuisance at your child's school. This workshop is appropriate for parents of children in any grade, with or without special needs.

When Teasing Becomes a Problem
Is your child the target of teasing at school? Or perhaps your child is the one doing the teasing. Learn techniques to deal with this behavior problem and explore ways to decide when the problem needs to be dealt with aggressively or when it makes more sense to let children work it out on their own.

Talking with your Child about Sex
Are you uncomfortable talking about sex with your children? This workshop will teach when to give information, what to say, and how to prepare children for the complex sexual issues they face in our current culture.

New Year, New You
Do you begin each year with a goal of losing weight, spending less money, exercising more, etc? People often set goals, only to abandon them soon afterward. This workshop will explore how to set and achieve realistic goals that lead to permanent change.

Common Parenting Dilemmas -
Dealing with Sleep and Bedtime Issues and Setting Limits for Young Children
Do you have the tools to set and maintain appropriate limits for your young children? This workshop will present information on how to deal with common parenting issues, as well as allow time for you to share your own parenting tips and strategies.
