Helen (she/her) grew up in the Soviet Union, and immigrated to the United States 28 years ago from what had by then become Russia. Her family is among the many in Portland’s Holocaust Survivor community who survived both World War II and life under Stalin.
Helen’s U.S.-based work experience is vast, including as an educator, events manager, and also case manager. She is a volunteer coordinator for the Portland Russian community.
Most recently, Helen worked as a case manager for refugees at IRCO (Immigrant & Refugee Community Organization).
