Mie Kumin (they/them) joined JFCS in June 2022 as the agency’s Intake and Emergency Aid Provider. They help community members access financial resources, counseling support, and other needs that JFCS can provide while alerting clients to other agencies that can provide for them should requests reach beyond our scope. In 2021, Mie graduated with honors from Lewis & Clark College with a bachelor’s in Sociology/Anthropology and a double minor in Russian and Gender Studies. They previously worked at a non-profit, distributing emergency aid with an emphasis on Slavic and Eastern European communities. In their free time, Mie loves to cook, bake, and read.
