Sue Ellen (she/her) is JFCS’ Director of Finance. She has more than 20 years’ experience, including in high-volume service-based businesses, property management, manufacturing, distribution, real estate, retail, construction, hospitality, and nonprofit organizations. She excels at reducing operational costs, reaching financial goals, and building great teams, as well as financial-reporting cleanup.
Additional robust skills include general ledger reporting, financial statements and analysis, budgeting, cash management, and internal and external reporting with government grants and contracts.
Prior to joining JFCS, Sue Ellen was a consultant for a number of small- and medium-sized business clients and nonprofits, where she focused on growing their human resources and accounting departments within the organizations themselves.
Sue Ellen has a master’s in Finance and in Human Resource Management from Notre de Namur University, and a bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of Phoenix. She also is a Certified Non-Profit Accountant through Certified Non-Profit Association Professionals (CNAP).
