Born and raised in the Midwest, Tavia Berrigan landed in Oregon in 2008 with her family in the midst of a very large snowstorm. Despite quickly realizing that the Pacific NW was not the temperate weather system that everyone had assured her it was, she made her home in Portland and has since mostly made peace with the fluctuating weather patterns.
After attending Portland State University and stints at the Oregon Holocaust Resource Center, the Holocaust and Genocide Studies Project at Portland State University and Rock n’ Roll Camp for Girls, she is thrilled to join the team at Jewish Family & Child Service as the Development and Volunteer Manager. She now gets to meld her passions of Holocaust education and list making into her daily life, for which she is very grateful.
Tavia enjoys time with her two lovely children, camping, travel, history, reading books about travel and history and is definitely one of those people who thinks her dog is the very best dog.
