MSW Intern
Aimee (she/her), a JFCS MSW intern, is a Master of Social Work student at the University of Denver with several years of experience in behavioral health, mental health, caregiving, and community-based settings. She is a QMHA-II and has worked with children, adults, and older adults with a wide range of mental health, behavioral, and life experiences.
Aimee is Jewish and was raised in part by her grandmother, a Holocaust survivor, which has deeply shaped her values around resilience, community, advocacy, compassion, and caring for others. Her connection to the Jewish community makes the opportunity to intern with Jewish Family & Child Service especially meaningful to her.
Aimee approaches her work from a trauma-informed, person-centered, collaborative, and strengths-based perspective, with a strong belief in seeing the whole person beyond a diagnosis or circumstance. With a background in art therapy and fine arts, she also values creativity and self-expression as tools for connection, healing, and personal growth. She looks forward to supporting clients in feeling heard, respected, empowered, and connected to their own strengths.
