Bring an Item. Give a Gift. Feed Our Community.
This year’s Portland Jewish Festival on August 30 is going beyond celebration — we’re coming together to nourish our neighbors.
Jewish Family & Child Service (JFCS) and the Jewish Federation of Greater Portland (JFGP) invite all festival attendees to bring non-perishable kosher food items to donate at the event. Your contributions will go directly to the William Temple House and Neighborhood House food pantries, both of which are partnering with JFCS to create dedicated kosher food shelves, ensuring that community members who keep kosher have access to culturally appropriate food when they need it most.
Can’t bring food to the festival? You can still make a meaningful impact. If you would like to support JFCS’ Emergency Food Aid Program with a financial contribution, please donate here.
When making your gift, you may choose to support the purchase of kosher food for our food pantry partnerships or contribute to general food aid, which helps fund JFCS’ food gift card program. These gift cards provide families with flexibility and dignity as they purchase the food they need.

JFCS is grateful to the Jewish Federation of Greater Portland for partnering with us on this food drive. We also deeply appreciate the support and collaboration of our community partners, Neighborhood House and William Temple House, whose commitment helps ensure that everyone in our community has access to nutritious food.
