Mental Health Clinician

Specialties: Adults across the lifespan, grief, loss, anxiety, depression, life transitions

Nicole (she/her) is a compassionate and dedicated therapist specializing in working with adults across the lifespan, supporting clients through issues related to depression, anxiety, grief, loss, and life transitions, including aging-related challenges.

With a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Denver (2024) and a background in Biological Sciences from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Nicole combines her knowledge of psychology and gerontology to provide a well-rounded therapeutic approach. She approaches her work through a person-centered, trauma-informed (PCTI) lens and utilizes evidence-based practices to ensure effective and compassionate care.

Nicole’s ideal client:
She enjoys working with adults across the lifespan navigating life transitions—whether that’s coping with grief and loss, adjusting to a new job or move, or facing aging-related and health challenges. With a background in the medical field, she brings particular skill in supporting older adults and individuals managing chronic illness or changes in physical health. Her ideal clients are those who are open to exploring their experiences and are ready—at their own pace—to engage in the process of healing and growth.

Her approach to helping:
Her style is collaborative, client-centered, and responsive. She believes that meaningful change happens when clients feel empowered and supported, so she aims to “lead from behind”—offering structure when needed, while allowing space for clients to guide the direction of their work. She starts by getting to know each client’s story before diving in. She views the therapeutic relationship itself as a powerful tool for healing and always strives to be a steady, supportive presence as you work toward the goals you set together.

Her values as a therapist:
Compassion, kindness, non-judgment, and cultural humility are the foundation of Nicole’s work. She seeks to create a space where clients feel genuinely heard, validated, and safe to bring all parts of themselves into the room. Holding space means being present, attuned, and respectful of each client’s unique story and identity.

Techniques she uses:
She integrates a range of evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based practices, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). She tailors interventions to meet each client’s needs and preferences, and is committed to ongoing learning. Currently, she’s continuing her training in CBT through the Beck Institute to deepen and expand her clinical skills.

Nicole offers telehealth and sliding scale options for clients.

In her off time, Nicole loves a good book, walking her two dogs, Kona and Phil, and practicing yoga.
